Nautilus Chrome Leg Curl

Lying Leg Curl provides perfect exercise for the hamstrings.  Thick roller pads provide maximum comfort to the Achilles/heal area during exercise.  Proper full range resistance is provided by the patented Nautilus cam.  A mild stretch is provided when legs are straight (no slop in the chains) to help maintain and/or improve hamstring flexibility.  150 pound weight stack in 10 pound increments will keep even the strongest among us challenged.  Trainers tip: by placing a 1" piece of garden hose onto one of the weight stack guide rods, a visual target is created after your first repetition (garden hose will stay in place at this high water mark position throughout the rest of your set).  This will force you to squeeze hard at the top of each repetition to ensure maximum range of motion.  It will also drastically display improper throwing of the weight as the lifter is unable to control the weight at the top of the range without a bounce at the top.  This will force the lifter to slow the repetitions down, eliminating momentum from the exercise.  This dramatically improves the quality of the exercise and allow the cam to work most effectively matching the subjects natural strength curve precisely.  Less weight is needed when the weight is lifted (and not thrown) in order to reach muscular failure.

Nautilus Chrome 40 Degree Chest & Shoulder

Shoulder Shrugs can be performed easily by sitting on headrest and grasping the taped chrome bars on either side.

Hip Adduction can be performed easily by raising seat to highest position. Lie with back flat on seat pad and head hanging off front. Feet are lightly touching the black nipples on the shroud on either side of the headrest, while positioning inner knees under roller pads. Squeeze knees together until pads touch. Almost allows a full contraction of the adductors. Cam matches the adductor strength curve pretty evenly also.

Nautilus Chrome Duo Decline Press

Includes the Infimetric / Akinetic bar option on the weight stack.
Brand new matching back pad (not shown) included with purchase.

This exercise can be done 1)both arms together 2)one arm contracted while other arm works 3)one arm stretched while other arm works 4) infimetric bar in place working both arms simultaneously with one arm providing resistance to the other arm.

Nautilus Chrome Compound Rowing

Side Bends can easily be performed on this machine as well simply by graping one of the lower handles with arm straight and moving away from the handle far enough to allow a stretch in the side while bending without the weight stack touching.

Negative only Shoulder Press can be performed on this machine as well, without the need for an assistant. This is done by kneeling on a pad in the front of the machine. Squat down with arms straight and get under the weight. Keeping arms straight, raise you butt back up until back and upper legs are parallel. Then begin lowering the resistance by bending the arms while keeping the back and upper legs rigid with no movement. When weight stack touches, immediately squat down again, straighten arms, then lift weight to top position again by lifting butt upward until upper thighs and back are straight again.

Nautilus Chrome Super Pullover

Nautilus Chrome Lat Pulldown

Brand new matching seat (not shown) is included with purchase.

Tricep Pressdown can easily be performed on this machine as well simply by looping a towel or heavy gauge rope over outermost handle. Then do the pressdown like you would off of a high pulley system.

By standing on the seat, a Dipping motion can be performed by pressing down on both handles simultaneously while keeping body erect. This is a perfect way for people to do dips that are not strong enough to handle their own bodyweight.
